As some of our Roaster Choice Subscribers have already experienced we are now offering a new coffee. This is not only a new coffee, but a new business venture that we are passionate about. We have partnered with Finca Villaure, a farm in Huehuetenango, Guatemala that has produced Cup of Excellence winners in the past.
Buying coffee directly from the farm ensures two things. One, that the farmers are getting a better price for their bean and two, that consumers are getting a better cup of coffee. We want to tell our customers a story with each cup of coffee that they brew. We want them to understand the uniqueness that lies within each of the different farms where the beans are grown.
The coffee is a clean and crisp cup, with bright notes of green grapes and citrus, and it has a creamy mouthfeel. We hope you enjoy our new offering, not only for the taste, but also for the story behind the bean.

As you know we have a bi-monthly delivery service in Oak Cliff (it’s how we started our business). Every first and third Tuesday of the month, our neighbors get to wake up to freshly roasted coffee hanging on their door knobs. We have had many requests to expand our route into East Dallas, and although we have not been able to do that yet, we have the next best thing.
Starting August 20th, you will be able to buy your favorite fresh-roasted Oak Cliff Coffee in East Dallas. Cafe Koine is located on the Dallas Thelogical Seminary Campus, 4005 Swiss Ave., inside the Mitchell Center building. The Cafe’s hours are Monday through Friday from 7am – 7pm. It’s open to the public, so anyone can either stop in and enjoy a cup there or buy a bag to take home.
We are glad to be working with the Seminary, and have met with some great folks there. We look forward to this opportunity to serve East Dallas and begin growing these relationships.

Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters is announcing a one time sale of the Panama Hacienda La Esmeralda Special “Geisha”. This coffee is a unique offering and we only have a limited quantity for ordering. We will roast the Geisha this Thursday for delivery or shipping on Friday.
Hacienda La Esmeralda is an estate in Boquete, Panama that has won many awards over the last few years for the Geisha coffee. Each year, they host an auction of various lots of this coffee, where many lots go for more than $100 per pound (that’s green, not roasted). We had a chance to cup some of this last summer while we were in Boquete, and it is a coffee unlike any other. It is a lighter medium roast; citrus & jasmine notes highlight this delicate and complex cup.
This is an outstanding coffee that is not for everyone. We are offering a rare opportunity to purchase some fresh, locally roasted Panama Geisha coffee. If you want to see what all of the commotion is about with this coffee, now is your chance.
Because it is limited supply, we are only offering in half pound increments, and the cost is $19 per half pound (8 oz.) or $24 with shipping (USPS Priority Mail), if you’re outside of Oak Cliff. All orders must be placed by Thursday 9 a.m. It is first come, first served, and if you send payment after we have already sold out, you will be fully refunded.
